Smiles for Seniors was born out of Delaney’s ability to see people for who they truly are, and her interest in sharing joy with people who might be “forgotten” by the rest of society.
In conjunction with World Kindness Day, the Live Like Delaney Foundation will shower the seniors in Avon Lake with plants, cookies, cards, and smiles on November 14th.
What to Expect
- The festivities kick off with a prayer and pick up of the goodies at 10:00 am at St. Joseph Parish, 32929 Lake Rd.
- Volunteers visit homebound parishioners from St. Joseph Parish, as well as the Memory Care Units of local nursing homes.
- The Dance Centre performs an interactive dance at Independence Village.
- A group from SJS, led by Worship Coordinator Lorene Coughlin, enjoys a singalong with residents of Towne Center Main Street Care.
Whether you want to sing old time hits to spread joy, or are interested in delivering cookies and conversation, please join us in spreading Delaney’s light on November 14th!
